Applied directly onto brick, EcoForte Prier-Hardener can help protect against spalding, particularly on low-fired brick, consolidating the brick surface and providing water resistance simultaneously.  It is historically known as water glass or liquid glass. When applied to an unpainted mineral surface it forms a chemical reaction with the substrate essentially reinforcing and strengthening the inherent mineral aspects of brick, stone and most cements.
